Introduction

Mr. Kyu Sok Cho is a partner practicing primarily in the area of litigation. Before joining Yulchon, Mr. Cho served as a judge in the Seoul Central District Court, the Seoul District Court, Southern Branch, the Incheon District Court and the Seoul High Court until 2010. Mr. Cho’s experience also includes working at Kim & Chang where he handled general civil disputes, criminal matters, labor/employment disputes for about 5 years.

  • 2016 Advised on Korean Air on its labor issues
  • 2016 Represented KEB Hana Bank and obtained a favorable decision in a lawsuit seeking remedies for unfair dismissal (request for a retrial on unfair dismissal remedy)
  • 2016 Represented Koscon and obtained a favorable decision in the first trial regarding ordinary wages (blanket wage system)
  • 2016 Represented Grand Korea Leisure in a lawsuit seeking remedies for unfair dismissal and obtained a favorable decision from the Court of Appeals
  • 2016 Obtained a decision of not guilty in the criminal case No. 2015gohap164 regarding giving a bribe by breach of trust judged by Cheonan Branch of Daejeon District Court
  • 2016 Represented Nonghyup and obtained a favorable decision in a lawsuit filed by the dismissed employee against the commissioner of the Central Labor Relations Commission to seek remedies for unfair dismissal
  • 2015 Represented Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and obtained a favorable decision in a lawsuit filed by around 5,000 employees to claim their bonus
