Investigations
2018.07.31.
Our manufacturing-company client retained Yulchon to investigate whistleblower allegations of corruption among its employees and outside contractors.
Yulchon interviewed over a dozen employees and executives, as well as individuals from several of the client’s contractors. Our investigation uncovered evidence that resulted in both disciplinary action against certain employees, and an expanded mandate to investigate even further beyond the scope of the initial whistleblower complaint.
In the course of our investigation, we made full use of advanced forensic technology to analyze emails and other computer systems, in order to find hard evidence and support our interviews of relevant people. We also advised the client on a host of employment-related issues arising out of the investigation, including disciplinary procedures and requirements, contractor relationships, and potential litigation. And we provided practical HR advice to help the company avoid business disruption due to the investigation.
