Do Hyeong Kim is a partner in the Dispute Resolution Practice at Yulchon. A graduate of Seoul National University, he completed the coursework at the Judicial Research and Training Institute in 1995. Mr. Kim joined Yulchon in 2019 after serving 21 years as a judge, presiding judge, and chief presiding judge at various courts. While serving as a research judge at the Supreme Court, he made a contribution to form important judicial precedents through in-depth examination of civil, criminal, and administrative cases. During his service as a presiding judge in charge of warrants and as a presiding judge of criminal affairs division for panel of judges at Seoul Central District Court, he extensively dealt with corporate, corruption and public office election crimes. Further, he oversaw various types of commercial preliminary injunction and disposition cases concerning corporate and management disputes at Seoul Southern District Court. Mr. Kim focused on American torts and environment law for his LL.M. at Cornell Law School in the U.S. Currently, drawing from his experience and knowledge accumulated during his tenure as a judge, Mr. Kim advises and represents clients on various types of disputes.
