Introduction

Yulchon’s Occupational Safety and Health Center has been providing expert legal counsel on serious industrial and public accidents, alongside comprehensive occupational health-and-safety advice, since the enactment of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act in January 2021. Our leadership comprises General Head Kyungsoo Kim; Co-Heads Sang Wook Cho, Shi Won Lee, and Yu Chul Jung; Deputy Heads Beom Chin An, Soo Hyun Kim, Min Kyoung Song, Bong Jun Song, Dai Won Chung and Woo Young Hur; and Senior Advisor Ji Weon Jeong (Former Director General of the Busan Regional Labor Office), supported by experts from our Labor and Employment, Real Estate, and Litigation practices. Leveraging deep regulatory expertise, the Center delivers premium legal services regarding health-and-safety compliance and crisis management, focused on: (1) general SAPA compliance, including establishment of safety-management systems and internal regulations; (2) incident response, including legal representation in response to investigations and civil/criminal litigation involving serious accidents; (3) ongoing advice and training; and (4) support responding to government health-and-safety inspections.
