尹容熙 (ユン・ヨンヒ)
紹介
Yonghee YOON, a partner at Yulchon, primarily practices in regulation fields including ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), energy and antitrust. Mr. Yoon began his career at Yulchon in 2009 after finishing his service as a military advocate (judicial officer). Since then, he has mainly focused on legal issues in connection with ESG, EHS, antitrust and other regulatory practices. As a result of his lifelong efforts, not only does he have practical knowledge and experience in various legal fields, but he is also serving as an adjunct law professor, fulfilling his social duties by nurturing future lawyers. Driven by an aspiration to share his experience, knowledge and research findings with an entire society, he has published various articles and books regarding his major practice areas, including ‘the Impacts and Implications of CERCLA on the Soil Environmental Conservation Act of the Republic of Korea’ and ‘Extraterritorial Application of US Antitrust Law’ etc. Based on his abundant work expertise and experience. Mr. Yoon was selected as top lawyer in the field of ESG in the 2022 Korean Law Firm Evaluation (by The Law Times) and as rising star in the fields of ESG and compliance management in the 2023 Lawyer Evaluation (by Korea JoongAng Daily and the Korea In-house Counsel Association) due to his extensive expertise and experience and positive client reviews.

- 2015-present Advised on various areas of environmental safety and health, such as air, water quality, wastes, chemical substances, soil, environmental impact assessment, and biodiversity; Advised on the acquisition of energy companies in the nuclear and renewable energy sectors, interpretation of energy laws and regulations, and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) transactions; advised on the establishment of compliance systems for the chemical, bio, and packaging industries
- 2021-present Advised on ESG management systems, risk management systems, ESG disclosure/assessment responses, and ESG washing related to various sectors, including chemicals, automobile, aviation, pharmaceuticals, food, gaming, cloud services, and insurance
- 2026 Represented the Korea Power Exchange and prevailed in an administrative litigation filed by solar power generators regarding generator output control; successfully led a legal and policy research project for improvement of the Mobility Regulatory Sandbox; successfully led a research project for improvement of the 2026 Electric Vehicle Subsidy Guidelines
- 2024 Successfully represented an air purifier manufacturer in a product liability lawsuit against a global chemical company; Represented a battery manufacturer and secured a decision of non-referral in an investigation regarding alleged violations of the Chemicals Control Act; successfully led a training and advisory project regarding greenwashing risk management for the automotive industry
- 2023 Represented a waste recycling company and obtained a judgment of not guilty in a case involving alleged violation of the Wastes Control Act
- 2022 Provided advice to advance the ESG risk management system related to the chemical industry; Successfully led a research project on improving ESG evaluation criteria for the gaming industry; advised a life insurance company on improving its governance evaluations in relation to ESG management
- 2020 Successfully obtained an acquittal in a criminal prosecution regarding an alleged violation of the Soil Environment Conservation Act
- 2019 Represented a renewable energy business regarding interpretation of the Environmental Impact Assessment Act, and successfully changed the position of the Ministry of Environment; Successfully conducted a research project for the Korea Institute of Nuclear Nonproliferation and Control regarding the amendment of the Act on Measures for the Protection of Nuclear Facilities, etc. and Prevention of Radiation Disasters
