Yulchon attorneys, Wook Jin RHA, Soo-Jeong AHN and Ja-Young LEE participated at the 2024 NYSBA Seoul Global Conference, which was held from October 16 to 18 at Hanyang University.


The three-day conference, themed “Cross Border Litigation and Transactions under a New Legal Paradigm,” was a successful networking event that brought together legal professionals from around the world to share the latest legal trends and expertise in various practice areas.


In the session “New Legal Paradigm in the Tax World: What Every Practitioner Should Know About Global Tax Trends,” co-chaired and moderated by Ms. Soo-Jeong AHN, panelists discussed key developments in the tax landscape, including overviews of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in the United States and OECD driven legislative developments. Ms. Ja-Young LEE gave a detailed presentation on the impact of IRA and OECD Pillar 2 in Korea, along with updates on recent taxation trends.


Mr. Wook Jin RHA served as co-chair of the session “Trends in U.S. and Korean Anti-Corruption Enforcement and Policy Development and the Impact on Global Corporates,” which discussed the anti-corruption enforcement efforts and policies of the United States and Korean governments and the importance of effective compliance programs for multinationals.
