International Bar Association (IBA) Asia Pacific Regional Forum and Young Lawyers' Committee are in the midst of holding 8 online training sessions from June to August under the theme of “The Fundamentals of International Legal Business Practice: Global Trends in Changing Times,” and Ms. Sun Hee KIM and Mr. Jong Kwon RYOO participated as panel and moderator, respectively.

Ms. Kim spoke in the 4th session, “Building your personal brand and international professional network through the IBA.” She emphasized that IBA is the most effective network to collaborate with experts around the world and to expand your business. Additionally, she talked about how to strategically build personal brands within the professional network.

In the 5th session, which was held on the topic of “Cross-border M&A: fundamental issues to M&A transaction,” Mr. Ryoo participated as a moderator and introduced the basic principles of cross-border M&A, through discussion of transaction structures, due diligence, deal documentation and closing processes.

Ms. Kim has also actively participated in the IBA as the Newsletter Officer of the IBA’s Asia Pacific Regional Forum, and Mr. Ryoo is actively working as a Liaison Officer of IBA’s Corporate and M&A Law Committee as well.
