The Korea Fair Trade Commission (the "KFTC") established and started implementing the Guidelines on Unfair Trade Practices in the Franchise Sector' (the “Review Guidelines”) as of March 25, 2024, to enhance consistency in the enforcement of the Fair Transactions in Franchise Business Act (the “Act”) and to prevent violations by franchisors.
