Introduction
Taek Won Oh is a Partner at Yulchon LLC. He joined the firm in 2026 after completing 17 years of judicial service, beginning at the Seoul Central District Court in 2009 and serving in various courts, including the Seoul Western District Court, Cheongju District Court, the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court, and as a Presiding Judge of the Changwon District Court immediately prior to joining Yulchon. He also served as a Director of Personnel Affairs in the Human Resources Division of the Court Administration Office. Mr. Oh graduated from Hansung Science High School and Seoul National University (B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering). He passed the 39th Patent Attorney Examination with the highest score and worked as a patent attorney at FirstLaw Lee&Ko P.C. (current: FirstLaw P.C.). He has extensive experience in intellectual property and emerging technologies, having served in the IP Division of the Seoul Central District Court and as a director of the Korean Association of Information Law. In addition, based on his years of experience handling a wide range of criminal cases, Mr. Oh demonstrates outstanding capabilities in criminal defense. From 2022 to 2024, Mr. Oh served as a Director of Personnel Affairs at the Court Administration Office, where he was solely responsible for the personnel affairs of all judges. Drawing on his deep understanding of the courts and the judiciary, he provides optimal legal services throughout all stages of litigation.
