Introduction
Eui Dong Hwang is an Antitrust partner at Yulchon. Before joining Yulchon in 2026, Mr. Hwang served in the Korean judiciary for 24 years including 10 years at district courts, 12 years at high courts (including 11 years at the Seoul High Court), and 2 years as a research judge at the Supreme Court. At district courts and high courts, he presided over wide-ranging cases including cross-border transactions and other corporate matters, blue-collar crimes, regulatory enforcement, and labor disputes. From 2023 to 2025, Mr. Hwang presided over wide-ranging antitrust cases involving abuse of dominance, collusion, unfair trade practices, unfair internal transactions, subcontracting, large-scale retail transactions, and e-commerce. Based on this extensive experience, he advises and represents clients in civil, criminal, and administrative litigation.
