Advising Life Insurance Company on the Improvement of Governance Evaluation Rating for ESG Management

Yulchon successfully carried out consulting services for a life insurance company to improve its rating of financial institution governance evaluation conducted by Korea Corporate Governance Service (“KCGS”).
KCGS has been conducting the evaluation of governance structure of major Korean companies since 2003. It has been calling its evaluation an Integrated ESG Evaluation since 2011 and has conducted separate evaluations for listed and unlisted financial companies since 2018. Yulchon successfully prepared a comprehensive analysis report based on the analysis of the target company’s disclosure data, internal regulation, and employee interviews. The comprehensive analysis report contained specific proposals for the improvement of company disclosure, amendment of internal regulations, and reorganization so that the target company can achieve a higher rating in future evaluation.
