Jong Wook Yoon is a partner in Yulchon’s Corporate & Finance Practice who practices primarily in the areas of financial regulation, authorization of financial institutions and fintech-related issues. Before joining Yulchon, Mr. Yoon worked for LG U+ for over 4 years where he was in charge of corporate legal affairs, including the operation of the board of directors and the general meetings of shareholders. Mr. Yoon was also in charge of overseeing the tri-party merger among LG Telecom, LG Dacom and LG Powercom. Mr. Yoon then worked for the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) for nearly 9 years handling matters related to authorization of financial investment businesses (establishment, approvals, registration, approval requirements in the case of a change of major shareholders, etc.), asset management (collective investment, trust, discretionary investment, advisory services, etc.), and fintech businesses (virtual currency, P2P, etc.). With his extensive experience in the fields of corporate legal affairs and finance, Mr. Yoon provides a wide range of advisory services to our client related to financial regulations, such as authorization of financial institutions, response measures to financial investigations, asset management, capital market, and fintech-related issues.
