Refinancing of Loans secured by 61 hotels located in UK and Scottland

Yulchon’s Real Estate Team advised Hyundai Asset Management Co., Ltd. in connection with GBP 95 million investment in the listed debt securities issued by a special purpose UK vehicle, the underlying asset of which is GBP 95 million loan claims as part of a GBP 430 million senior loan in a GBP 715 million refinancing project. The senior refinancing of GBP 430 million is secured by 61 hotels located in UK and Scotland. Major financial institutional investors, such as Deutsche Bank, HSBC, AXA and GSIC also invested in this refinancing project.
The deal involved an extensive due diligence in respect of property review and hotel documents review, and analysis and/or negotiation of complex finance documents, including without limitation various loan agreements, intercreditor agreement and UK PLC’s note documents and listing documents.
