紹介
Hee Chul Kang is one of Yulchon's founding partners and the former head of its Corporate & Finance Practice. His primary areas of expertise are general corporate M&A, securities, corporate governance & compliance labor & employment and China. Before founding Yulchon in 1997, Mr. Kang worked at Kim & Chang for 12 years.Mr. Kang has represented numerous multinational corporations in Korea such as GE, Goldman Sachs, Siemens and Standard Chartered Bank in various cross-border transactions. He has also represented major Korean companies such as Samsung, Hyundai Motor Company and SK Telecom in corporate governance and M&A cases. He has been frequently recognized by international publications such as Chambers, IFLR and Legal 500 as a leading lawyer in the fields of M&A, Corporate Governance and Capital Markets. He served as an outside director of Posco International Co., Ltd. Currently, he serves as an advisor to the Listed Company Association, an arbitrator for the Korea Commercial Arbitration Board and a mediator for the Seoul Central District Court. His past careers include a co-chair of the Legal Practice Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), a senior vice president of the Korean Bar Association, a member of the Capital Markets Investigation and Review Committee of the Financial Services Commission and a member of the Disclosure Committee of the Korea Exchange. Mr. Kang has published numerous articles, and is a frequent speaker and lecturer on M&A, securities, corporate governance and labor & employment laws. He was also an editor of the Korean Bar Association Journal from 1993 to 2000.
