[IAM Patent 1000] Yulchon recommended as a Gold Band Law Firm in Litigation and Transactions for four years in a row

Yulchon is honored to be recommended as a Gold band law firm (the highest rank) for four consecutive years by IAM Patent 1000 in Intellectual Property Litigation and Transactions.
IAM Patent 1000 said that “the courtroom is home turf for Yulchon’s IP group” and described that “its practitioners have almost 50 years’ worth of collective judicial experience and are formidable performers in bet-the-company patent suits.” IAM Patent also stated that “no technical discipline is beyond its grasp, although the electronics and pharmaceutical sectors are particular fortes” and “its proactive, assertive approach to enforcement is tempered by a commercial, pragmatic outlook.” IAM Patent also highlighted the patent rights invalidation case where Yulchon’s IP Group successfully defended POSCO.
IAM Patent also recognized individual achievements in the IP group. Jeong Yeol Choe, the Head of Yulchon’s IP Group, was praised as a IP practice leader and a former judge who has taught many of those currently on the bench, while Dong Soo Han was acclaimed for having spent some 16 years serving in a variety of courts. In addition, Cheol Hwan Kim was highly rated as “a prolific writer and tenacious litigator” who “recently prevailed for AmorePacific in a widely publicized patent invalidation proceeding that affected the entire cosmetics industry.” Samuel SungMok Lee was presented as a former senior in-house legal counsel to Samsung Electronics who “rounds off the troop.”.
