Yulchon Wins Three Awards at ALB Korea Law Awards 2024

Yulchon LLC celebrated a notable accomplishment at the 2024 ALB Korea Law Awards, held on November 6 at the Conrad Seoul, winning in three prestigious categories: Managing Partner of the Year, Foreign Lawyer of the Year, and M&A Deal of the Year.


Managing Partner Seok Hoon Kang was honored as “Managing Partner of the Year” for his innovative leadership in adapting to the rapidly evolving legal landscape, pioneering the adoption of AI and legal technology, and his strong commitment to DE&I and ESG initiatives. He was also recognized for his proactive approach in developing new practice areas in response to industry shifts. This award is presented to managing partners of Korean law firms who exemplify exceptional leadership and accomplishments.


Additionally, foreign attorney Tehyok Daniel Yi received the “Foreign Lawyer of the Year” award, and Yulchon was awarded “M&A Deal of the Year” for advising on a prominent Korean company’s U.S. battery manufacturing joint venture, highlighting the firm’s expertise and strong track record.


Now in its 12th year, the ALB Korea Law Awards is a prestigious event organized by Asian Legal Business (ALB), a leading Asia-Pacific legal publication under Thomson Reuters. The awards recognize outstanding law firms, deals, lawyers, and in-house legal teams, with winners selected by a panel of experts in each category.
