Doil SON receives the Industrial Service Medal

Mr. Doil SON was awarded the Industrial Service Medal by the Republic of Korea for his contribution to the development of data governance frameworks. In particular, Mr. Son served as the committee member on the National Data Policy Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister, and assisted the Committee in recommending and implementing data-related policies and initiatives.
The medal was presented on April 21 at the 2023 Science and Information Communication Day Ceremony jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Korea Communications Commission. Mr. SON had the rare distinction of not only receiving the medal, but also being the only lawyer among this year’s awardees.
Mr. SON is the Head of the IP & Technology Practice at Yulchon, while serving as the Co -Chair of the Technology Law Committee of the International Bar Association and Co-Chair of the TMT Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
