Mr. Hae Sik Park, a partner at Yulchon, was appointed on May 12, 2014 as a member of the Public Official Pension Benefit Deliberation Committee of the Government Employees Pension Service.

Among other tasks, a member of the Committee performs the following: (1) examines whether a government employee’s illness, disability or death has resulted while he was performing his official duty; (2) determines and adjusts the disability grade; (3) examines whether a government employee may not exercise all or part of the claim for compensation; (4) examines a deceased government employee’s child or early retirees’ disability status (from 1st to 7th grade); (5) examines whether a government employee is restricted from receiving full benefit due to his gross negligence or willful misconduct; and (6) examines whether a government employee meets the requirements to receive medical care treatments again.
