Chambers Global, a leading publication providing independent rankings of law firms and individual lawyers, recently ranked Yulchon as one of Korea’s top tier law firms for International Trade/WTO. The publication, which is part of the ‘Chambers & Partners Publishing’ group, also selected Yulchon’s Youngjin Jung as leading individuals in the field. Chambers Global emphasized Yulchon’s keen ability to handle customs issues while noting Yulchon’s collaborative relationship with various government departments as one of its greatest strengths. Chambers Global also highlighted Yulchon’s finance department as “growing exponentially due to their creative ideas and dynamic solutions to legal challenges,” citing Yulchon’s advisement of Lotte Shopping on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Woori Homeshopping as an example. The publication, which covers leading law firms and lawyers across the Asian continent, also selected Yulchon managing partner, Chang Rok Woo, as well as Dong Soo Kim and US-qualified Jay Shim as leading individuals in the tax field. Chambers Asia introduced Yulchon as a firm with a prominent reputation for all aspects of tax law.
