Implementation of the Amended Chemical Substances Control Act and Enforcement Decree

Chemical Substances Control Act (the “CCA”), amended by Act No. 20231 on February 6, 2024, entered into force on August 7, 2025. In parallel, the Enforcement Decree of the CCA was also amended on August 5, 2025, and has been effective since August 7, 2025. With this amendment, the overall framework for managing hazardous chemical substances has undergone significant change, and companies must gain a clear understanding of the revised provisions.
