The President entered the office with ambitious labor reform agendas centered around his core ideals of “free market” and “rule of law.” Unfortunately for the President, as the saying goes, “no plan survives contact with the enemy.” With the ruling party only holding a minority at the Assembly, many of the President’s labor reform plans lacked legislative support and found only limited success in modifying existing policies.
