According to the “Economic Policy Directions for the Second Half of 2023”, published on July 4, 2023, by the Korean government, the government plans to (i) implement the mandatory tender offer rule to protect minority shareholders’ interests during mergers and acquisitions of listed companies, and (ii) relax restrictions on investments in corporate venture capitals (“CVC”) by holding companies.
