Advised J Trust Group in its acquisition of SC Savings Bank from Standard Chartered Korea Limited

Yulchon's Corporate & Finance Group successfully advised J Trust Group, a Japanese financial services group, in connection with its acquisition of SC Savings Bank from Standard Chartered Korea Limited.
J Trust acquired a 100% equity interest in SC Savings Bank, which has total assets of approximately KRW344 billion, for a total consideration of approximately KRW52 billion. With its acquisition of SC Savings Bank, J Trust, which already has another savings bank subsidiary in Korea, now has one of the most extensive nationwide networks in the Korean savings bank industry.
Yulchon advised J Trust on the successful completion of this transaction, including on regulatory issues dealing with the Korean financial regulators.
