Yulchon Advises Hotel Lotte on Its Acquisition of Hotel Hyundai Vladivostok

Yulchon advised Hotel Lotte Co., Ltd. (“Lotte”) on its acquisition of 100% stake in Hotel Hyundai Vladivostok (the “Hotel”) located in Vladivostok, Russia from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (“Hyundai”).
Hotel Hyundai Vladivostok is the first outward investment in Russia by a major Korean conglomerate, and even after two decades, the Hotel is considered as the best five-star hotel in the far eastern region of Russia.
With this acquisition, Lotte added an invaluable asset in its existing hotel portfolio in Russia, which consists of hotels in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Yulchon advised the client on all legal aspects of the transaction including due diligence on the transaction, draft and review of the legal document, merger filing and advise on post-closing activities, with the firm’s experts in Russian matters.
Through this transaction, Yulchon proved its expertise by strengthening Hotel Lotte’s footprint in the hospitality industry in the central regions of Russia through legal advisory works that took place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, and Tashkent Hotel in Uzbekistan.
