Lee, Wonjune
Introduction
Wonjune Lee is a Foreign Attorney admitted to the Washington, D.C. Bar in 2021. He joined Yulchon LLC in 2025 after serving as in-house counsel at LIG Nex1, a leading Korean defense contractor. From 2007, he worked in the Legal Team of Daewoo International Corporation (now POSCO International) and the Naval Ship Business Division of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (now Hanwha Ocean). His professional experience includes participation in submarine export programs to Indonesia, contract management for the United Kingdom’s MARS Tankers project, and involvement in the Republic of Korea’s Jangbogo-III submarine construction project. He has also directly participated in export contract negotiations for major defense systems, including Cheongung-II, the medium-range surface-to-air missile system, with government officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and other countries, subject to applicable non-disclosure agreements. Based on this extensive experience, he advises clients on international defense and arms export matters.
