Introduction
Pil Kyu Cho is a Senior Consultant specializing in urban planning, urban redevelopment policy, and the design of institutional frameworks for development projects. He advises on real estate development, urban redevelopment and reconstruction, and port redevelopment.Mr. Cho received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Urban Planning from the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka University. Over the past 20 years, he has conducted policy research and advisory work for central and local governments in Korea, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Gyeonggi Province, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.He previously worked at major public development institutions, including the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), the Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH), and the Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation (GH), where he participated in the planning and institutional design of major urban development and regeneration initiatives. He also served as a professional expert advisor to the National Court Administration of Korea in matters related to urban redevelopment and reconstruction.
