Mr. Cho, Nam Kwan is a partner of Yulchon’s Dispute Resolution Group. Before joining Yulchon, Mr. Cho served as a prosecutor for 27 years, holding key positions such as Departmental Chief Prosecutor, Deputy Chief Prosecutor, Chief Prosecutor and Prosecutor General at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, various district prosecutors’ offices and the Ministry of Justice. Immediately prior to joining Yulchon, Mr. Cho served as the President of the Institute of Justice until April 2022. While serving as a prosecutor, Mr. Cho primarily handled tax, finance, real estate and other economic crimes investigations, corruption cases including bribery and influence peddling, in addition to general criminal investigations. While working at the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Cho handled human rights issues and prosecution policies. From March 2006, Mr. Cho served as Head of the Special Inspection Team in the Office of the Senior Presidential Secretary for Civil Affairs for two years, where he was responsible for inspecting misconduct by high-ranking public officials. For one year from June 2017, Mr. Cho served as Director of the Inspection Office at the National Intelligence Service. While serving in such various public positions in addition to serving as a prosecutor, Mr. Cho accumulated extensive experience in both legal and political affairs.
