Kim, Hyoung Yoon
Introduction
Mr. Hyoung Yoon Kim is a Senior Advisor at Yulchon LLC, recognized as an expert in alternative investments and asset management with over 30 years of experience in the financial market. After graduating from the Department of Public Administration at Yonsei University (B.A. and M.A.), Mr. Kim built his career at Korea Long Term Credit Bank, Hyundai Securities, and Kookmin Bank, where he led key initiatives in corporate finance, investment banking, and structured finance. From 2005 to 2024, Mr. Kim served as the Head of Infrastructure Investment Division and subsequently as the Head of Alternative Investment at KB Asset Management. In these roles, he oversaw the entire spectrum of alternative investments, including domestic and overseas infrastructure, real estate, REITs, private equity, and M&A acquisition finance establishing a leading position in the industry. Mr. Kim successfully led landmark deals such as the management and listing of the Balhae Infrastructure Fund, the listing of KB Star REITs, and the acquisition of Samsung SDS Tower. Mr. Kim also demonstrated exceptional management capabilities by leading large-scale SOC projects, including the Daegu-Busan Expressway, the Incheon International Airport Railroad, and the Busan-Geoje Fixed Link, as well as various energy projects. In addition, he has contributed broadly to the development of the industry and policy ecosystem by serving as an advisor to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, an investment committee member for the Korea Environment Corporation, and an investment committee member for the Public Officials Benefit Association. Currently, as a Senior Advisor at Yulchon LLC, Mr. Kim leverages his extensive practical experience and deep insight into the financial industry to provide practical and strategic advice to clients across alternative investment, asset management, corporate finance, and investment banking.
