Introduction

Eric Hyung Won Nahm is a partner in the International Dispute Resolution Team of the Dispute Resolution Group at Yulchon LLC. His primary areas of practice are international arbitration, international litigation, and corporate legal advisory. In particular, he has successfully handled a number of major international disputes, including investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) cases brought by global private equity funds against the Government of the Republic of Korea. He has also achieved outstanding results in numerous cases before major arbitral institutions such as the ICC, SIAC, and KCAB, representing global big tech companies, leading Korean heavy industry and general trading companies, and major government agencies. In recognition of his expertise, he was named a “Rising Star” by Legal Times (2025) and a “Stand-out Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters (2023–2025). In 2025, he was also selected as a “Top Lawyer” in the Republic of Korea law firm consumer report published by Law Times.
