Introduction
Hyung Bae Kim (Senior Customs Consultant) advises clients on customs valuation, merchandise classification, customs duty exemptions and drawbacks, country-of-origin and foreign currency control regulations in relation to customs duty planning, customs audit defense administrative customs appeal and customs litigation. Prior to joining Yulchon in 2010, Hyung Bae worked at the Customs Valuation and Classification Institute under the Korea Customs Service, handling issuance of administrative rulings on customs valuation, providing Advance Customs Valuation Arrangement-related services and dealing with cases involving the Technical Committee on Customs Valuation of the World Customs Organization. He also worked as a corporate audit expert at the Seoul Main Customs Office and handled customs clearance at the Incheon International Airport’s customs office. Hyung Bae received his B.A. degree in French literature from Seoul National University.
