Yulchon's M&A team advised Chosun Hotel of the Shinsegae Group on the acquisition of Paradise Duty Free, the largest duty-free shop in the Pusan area.
 

By entering the duty free market with this acquisition, the Shinsegae Group has expanded its portfolio of distribution channels, which already included department stores, major supermarkets and outlet stores. Shinsegae Group anticipates that the acquisition of Paradise Duty Free, together with Centum City and its premium outlets, will help it grow into a tourist hot spot as a cultural shopping complex.
 

Yulchon advised on all aspects of the transaction, including execution of contracts, due diligence and closing.
