M&A Team Advises Korea Development Bank on Acquisition of RBS Uzbekistan

Yulchon's M&A Team advised Korea Development Bank in the negotiation and execution of a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of an approximately 82% stake in RBS Uzbekistan NB CJSC, an Uzbek subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland. The parties have reached final agreement on the acquisition in early December and the transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2011, subject to regulatory approvals.
Yulchon, acting closely with Uzbekistan's Leges Advokat, has provided legal advice on all aspects of the transaction. A team of Yulchon M&A lawyers, including partners John Kim, Tae Jin Cha and Tehyok Daniel Yi and associates Kyu Sang Hwang, Jaewon Lee and Anna Kim advised Korea Development Bank on this transaction.
