Dr. Young Eek Jung is a senior advisor at Yulchon specializing in nuclear and hydroelectric power systems. Dr. Jung received his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Kyungpook National University and his M.E. and Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Energy System Engineering at Konkuk University. From 1997 to 2000, Dr. Jung served as an expert in the Nuclear Development Division at OECD. From 2000 to 2015, Dr. Jung worked at the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (“KHNP”), where he served as the Head of the Overseas Business Domain (2007 -2008), the Head of NPP Construction Domain (2008 -2010), the Head of Kori Nuclear, Wolsong Nuclear, and Hydro Power sites (2010 – 2015). From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Jung worked as a Senior Researcher for the Korea Energy Economics Institute (“KEEI”), and, from 2021 to recently, he served as the Head of the Construction Domain at the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (“ITER”).
