Jeong Keun Yun is the Head of Antitrust/Competition Group at Yulchon. Before joining Yulchon, he served as a judge for 18 years from 2000 to 2018. With seven years of experience and knowledge gained at the Seoul High Court from 2010 to 2017, Mr. Yun provides litigation advice mainly in relation to antitrust issues as well as administrative, criminal and civil cases associated with administrative regulations and corporate disputes. During his service at the competition department of the Seoul High Court, Mr. Yun gained extensive expertise in antitrust issues, handling the full scope of antitrust cases ranging from unfair concerted conduct, abuse of market dominance, unfair trade practices, regulations of corporate groups, industry associations’ prohibited actions, to violation of subcontracting, labelling and advertising law. Mr. Yun also served as a member of the Administrative Litigation Development Committee at the Supreme Court of Korea from 2016 to 2017, where he participated in establishing a development plan to expand the scope of reliefs and remedies in the administrative litigation. Mr. Yun served as a member of the first Sentencing Commission at the Supreme Court of Korea from 2009 to 2010, where he contributed to newly formulating Sentencing Guidelines for embezzlement, breach of trust and other crimes and a new sentencing hearing process. Before that, he was in charge of substantive review of confinement, arrests, and warrant issuance at the Seoul Central District Court and Uijeongbu District Court.In addition, Mr. Yun exclusively handled application cases regarding provisional disposition for the corporate litigations at the Application and Appeals Department of the Seoul High Court.

- 2021 Successfully advised an airline group in an investigation by the Korea Fair Trade Commission regarding alleged unfair internal transactions (toll transactions) and obtained clearance of all charges
- 2021 Successfully represented a client in a criminal case against a large retail company regarding its violation of antitrust laws and obtained a favorable result for the client
- 2021 Successfully represented a cosmetics manufacturer and won an administrative lawsuit regarding labelling and advertising
- 2020 Successfully represented a ride-hailing service provider and obtained an acquittal in a criminal case (so-called “Tada Case”) involving an alleged violation of the Passenger Service Act
