Mr. Yong Suk Oh is a senior advisor in the Corporate & Finance Practice at Yulchon. Mr. Oh worked at the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) for 30 years and at the National Pension Fund Management Committee as a full-time expert member for 3 years before joining Yulchon. During his time with the FSS, Mr. Oh held a number of key posts including director of Hong Kong Representative Office, head of the Corporate Disclosure Team, Asset Management Examination Team, Capital Market Investigation Planning Team and Human Resources Team before moving up to serve as the director of the Asset Management Supervision Department, Public Relations Department, and a professor at the FSS’ training institute. Mr. Oh also served as the chairman for Special Committee on Responsible Investment & Governance, Special Committee on Risk Management and Performance Evaluation & Compensation, Special Committee on Investment Policy at National Pension Fund Management Committee. With the wealth of experience he obtained at the supervisory authority including authorizations and permits, supervisions, examinations, and investigations of unfair trading in capital market, together with his expertise and experience at a large institutional investor, the National Pension Service (NPS) which is the third largest pension fund in the world.
