Mr. In Yong Rhee graduated from Seoul National University with a B.A. in Asian History. He began his career at Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) in 1982 where he worked as a reporter, Washington correspondent, News Desk (Korea’s most-watched prime time news) anchor, and Deputy Director of News Department until 2005. In 2005, Mr. Rhee joined Samsung Electronics as Head of Communications (Senior Vice President). During his tenure with Samsung Electronics thereafter, Mr. Rhee held various leadership positions, including Executive Vice President of the Samsung Future Strategy Office (Head of Communications Team) from 2009 to 2012, President of the Samsung Future Strategy Office (Head of Communications Team) from 2012 to 2014, and President of Samsung Electronics (Head of Communications Team) from 2014 to 2017. From 2017 to 2020, Mr. Rhee served as the CSR advisor to Samsung Electronics, leading corporate social responsibility initiatives. Following this role, Mr. Rhee assumed the position of President of Corporate Relations from 2020 to 2022, overseeing corporate relations within the company. Mr. Rhee then served as an advisor to Samsung Electronics from 2022 until he joined Yulchon in 2024. Mr. Rhee is Chairman of Yulchon’s Value Growth Committee and also serves as Co-President of Onyul Foundation, a public service corporation established by Yulchon.
