Cecil Saehoon Chung Appointed as Vice-Chair of ICC Commission on Competition

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) appointed Yulchon Antitrust Group’s Cecil Saehoon Chung as Vice-Chair of the ICC Commission on Competition. In that role, Mr. Chung will be supported by the ICC International Secretariat and work closely with the Chair and two other Vice-Chairs of the ICC Commission on Competition to help the Commission develop its policy products, formulate and implement Commission work programs, and also act as a spokesperson and ambassador for the Commission on competition issues.


The ICC, founded in 1919 in Paris, France, is the largest and most representative business organization in the world. With a global network of more than 6 million members in over 100 countries, the ICC strives to promote international trade, responsible business conduct and global approach to regulation through its mix of advocacy and standard setting activities, as well as its leading dispute resolution services.


In addition to this ICC Commission on Competition appointment, Mr. Chung has held various invitation-only leadership and membership positions at various international antitrust organizations, including the ABA’s Section of the Antitrust and Section of International Law, the IBA Antitrust Committee’s Merger Working Group, the OECD BIAC (Business and Industry Advisory Committee) on Competition, and Global Competition Review’s (GCR) Editorial Board.


This international appointment becomes effective on January 1, 2019 for a three-year term, renewable at the discretion of the ICC Chairman.
