[Financial Times] The Financial Times awards “the Most Innovative Law Firm in Korea” to Yulchon two years in a row
Yulchon is honored to be awarded “the Most Innovative Law Firm in Korea” for a second straight year. Innovation is one of Yulchon’s founding core values and it is deeply rooted in Yulchon’s culture. Efforts to drive innovation across the firm have enabled us to anticipate challenges, stay ahead of changes, and deliver the best possible solution to our clients. The FT Innovative Lawyers Asia Pacific Awards seeks to recognize such efforts by law firms “that have developed exceptionally innovative practices to meet their clients’ needs in a fast-changing environment.”
Selected among over 460 submissions and nominations from 72 law firms and 82 in-house legal teams, Yulchon received strong marks in all of the following 3 categories: Finance, Corporate & Commercial, and Business of Law. With the total score at 131, Yulchon took the honor of “the Most Innovative Law Firm in Korea” once again and scored the second highest in Innovation in the Business of Law (for AP Headquartered Law Firms).
After receiving the award at the award ceremony in Hong Kong on June 2, 2016, Mr. Sai Ree Yun (the Managing Partner of Yulchon) emphasized, “Our innovative approach to anticipate clients’ evolving demands has led us to receive such an honor.” Mr. Yun also added “All the members at Yulchon will continue our best efforts to continuously innovate.”
Since its inception in Europe in 2006, the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards seeks to break with the usual criteria of measuring lawyers by revenues, profits, or deal size. Instead, it seeks to uncover the real value that lawyers deliver to businesses and reward the lawyers consistently furthering the interests of their clients, their own firms, and the profession itself. To determine the winners, all submissions were assessed by RSG Consulting, a specialist legal-market research company that uses an extensive process of interviews with clients, submitting lawyers and experts.
